Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi has said the state government will fund education and health sectors in four council areas with Sustainable Development Goals grant of N500 m .
Fayemi, who explained that the implementation of the 2018 SDG projects in the state would be determined by community needs , said the state would pay N250 m counterpart funding to access N500 m CGS.
The governor, represented by his Chief of Staff , Biodun Omoleye , at a meeting on the implementation of SDGS projects, said community-need approach would be adopted to fast -track grass roots development.
He said his administration would continue to attract development partners to support its cardinal agenda aimed at bettering the lives of the citizenry .
The governor , who listed Oye , Ijero, Moba , and Ekiti South -West local government areas as the beneficiaries of the projects, said all resolutions on the completion of all processes would be done within one week as necessary logistics would be provided .
The Secretary of State Office, SDGs , Mr Kayode Adunmo, said all procurements would be based on current prices of equipment required by the benefiting sectors .
