Ekiti State government has set up an executive committee to determine available vacancies in public service.
The Deputy Governor, Otunba Bisi Egbeyemi, has been appointed as the chairman of the committee.
This was one of the decisions reached at the State Executive Committee meeting held on Wednesday.
According to a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary, Olayinka Oyebode, the assignment handed the Egbeyemi-led panel will lead to the commencement of fresh recruitment process.
Other members of the panel are the Acting Head of Service, Mrs. Peju Babafemi; the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji; Commissioner for Finance, Mr. Dapo Kolawole and the Chief of Staff, Mr. Biodun Omoleye.
The cabinet also resolved that other appointments to the Public Service that did not go through due process, involving biometrics would be reviewed by the exco panel.
The exco also decided that Executive Secretaries appointed after the July 21, governorship election in the State are to revert to their former positions.
